Pantoprazole Sodium
Short Description
FIOPRAZ is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. This medication relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough.
Indications
Intravenous
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
Adult: 80 mg once or twice daily, adjusted up to 240 mg/day may be given in divided doses as slow inj or short-term infusion over 2-15 min. Convert to oral therapy as soon as possible. Elderly: No dosage adjustment needed.
Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, Peptic ulcer
Adult: 40 mg/day as slow inj or short-term infusion over 2-15 min. Convert to oral therapy as soon as possible. Elderly: No dosage adjustment needed.
